Stopped in on a whim right after a DaVinci Science Center trip (a stone's throw across Hamilton). Sat down with the little one (9) and immediately was quite impressed by the menu variety. It was just before three, so we had the place almost to ourselves. Big room that seats 100+, and a side room that looks like a standing or party room. Snuck in a few standard fare lunch specials (it ends at 3pm): shrimp and broccoli and a general Tso's chicken for me. Then the kid saw the sushi menu and ordered California roll. Then I saw steamed pork bao and audibly gasped. Love bao and it's not typically on the menu. First out were pork egg rolls and sushi. Egg rolls were quite full and very flavorful. I'm not a sushi connoisseur, but the little one loved it. Then the bao. After being immediately poked by my kid (as she has those trendy squishy dumplings and was apparently auto-triggered to squish a bit), I took the time to make a video of tearing into one. Good amount of filling, super soft bun, lovely taste. I think they have gotten my daughter addicted. Then the mains came out. My wife and I absolutely love coming to Ume Asian Cuisine. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent, which is why we keep coming back. My brother and I also regularly stop by to get our diet meals here because the food is always fresh, delicious, and fits perfectly with our goals. What really makes every visit special is the outstanding customer service. Jay was our waiter, and he was amazing from start to finish. He was friendly, welcoming, always smiling, and made us feel right at home. We had great conversations throughout our meal, and I even tried a few of the dishes he recommended—they were excellent. It's clear that Jay genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does.

My friend and I stopped into Ume Asian Cuisine, our first time in both Allentown and at this establishment, before a concert just a block away, and what started as a quick dinner turned into one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Despite arriving close to the dinner rush, we were immediately able to grab two seats at the bar with no wait. Shortly after sitting down, the owner personally came over to welcome us, which immediately set the tone for the evening. He offered us a Japanese beer, and I enjoyed a simple vodka club while we looked over the menu. We started with the Kani Salad and the Fujiyama Roll, both of which were absolutely fantastic. Knowing we were on a tight schedule with the concert starting at 7:30 PM and it already being around 6:40 PM, we also ordered Pineapple Shrimp Fried Rice, Lo Mein, and the Steamed Chicken, Shrimp, and Vegetables with a garlic sauce on the side, one of the best garlic sauces I've had in a long time. The service was incredibly efficient. Our appetizers arrived within about 10 minutes, and the rest of our meal was on the table within 20 minutes. We held a 70th Birthday party and needed catering. Asian was the choice—we didn’t know we’d have a new favorite restaurant. Andy at Ume was polite, helpful, encoring and beyond generous for a party of 40+ people. Not only did MOST of our guests rave all night about the quality and amazing flavor of the food, several people said they would spread the word and start going to Ume. The food not only was so fresh, perfectly prepared and ready for pick-up, Andy threw in some extras. What a wonderful choice, and I highly recommend anyone who wants to entertain to go to Ume. You will not be sorry!!

The food was delicious, the service was fast and very friendly. The guys at the bar had a great attitude and were super attentive. Something I really appreciated is that they treat you well even if you come in close to closing time, which means a lot. The place is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.
